Assessing Department
The assessing office is responsible for determining the value of properties for tax purposes. The office reviews the market value of homes, businesses, and land to calculate property taxes, which help fund local services like schools, roads, and public safety.

The Planning & Development Department facilitates courses of action that lead to positive outcomes in land use, natural resource conservation, transportation, housing, public health, and economic development.

Our mission is to serve and protect the community of Meredith and wherever summoned with the greatest possible skill and professionalism. We endeavor to provide, through training and professional development, a superior level of response to all types of emergencies and calls for assistance.

General Assistance
Our mission is to provide interim assistance with basic needs for those who do not have the resources to meet these needs and encourage community involvement in addressing issues to help break the circle of poverty.

Parks & Recreation
The main goal of the Meredith Parks & Recreation Department is to provide recreational and leisure activities for the community at large, and for people of all ages. This is accomplished by working with the schools, commercial establishments, and community volunteers to create organized programs and self-guided recreational opportunities.

Public Works
The Meredith Public Works Department consists of four divisions and is located at 347 Daniel Webster Highway, with the lobby being open to the public.

Tax Collector
The tax collector is responsible for collecting revenue for property, yield, current use, excavation, and betterment taxes, water/sewer bills, and other miscellaneous payments. Other responsibilities include responding to inquiries from banks, mortgage companies, attorney's offices, and the general public.

Town Clerk
The Clerk's Office handles administrative duties such as record keeping, staffing, service counters, screening solicitors, and more.

Town Manager
The Town Manager provides town reports, budget details, applications, and forms to the residents of Meredith.

Water & Sewer
The Meredith Water and Sewer Department is committed to providing the community with the safest drinking water possible, and enough supply to meet its demand for both consumption and fire protection. The department adheres to regulations set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES).
