Both parties must be present, with photo identification, to apply for a marriage license. Once the application is completed, a draft of the license is printed for you to review and check it for accuracy. It's important that any errors are corrected at this time.
The fee to apply is $50. Once the draft is approved and the fee is paid, the original license will be printed for you to take with you.
If you wish to apply for certified copies after the marriage takes place, you may order them at the same time that you complete your application. The cost is $15 for the first copy and $10 for any additional ordered at the same time. All fees are payable to the Town of Meredith.
If either party has been previously married, we need a copy of the dissolution (divorce decree or death certificate) of the most recent marriage.
