TOWN OF MEREDITH - HYDRANT FLUSHING
The Meredith Water Department will start its semi-annual hydrant flushing program on Monday 9/22/25 through Friday 10/3/25 from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
The hydrant flushing program is essential to maintain high water quality throughout the water distribution system.
Please be advised that as a result of hydrant flushing, some slight discoloration may be noticed temporarily in your water. This does not represent a health risk. Customers are urged to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing) as staining may occur. If you experience discolored water, please run the cold water in all your faucets for approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
